The Knife of Never Letting Go

The Knife of Never Letting Go - Patrick Ness, Nick Podehl GAH! WHY are books allowed to end that way?!?!? There should be a law! I am so thankful I didn't start this when it began; that books 2 and 3 are already out because I think I'd have torn my hair out, otherwise.
I would recommend this book (maybe this series, I'll let you know) as read-alikes for The Hunger Games. They're NOT exactly like Hunger Games, but they're fraught with the same sense of "OMG, hurry up! Don't get caught! Keep moving! Keep surviving!" as Suzanne Collins' series.
I would also recommend listening to this particular book as the reader, Nick Podehl, did a great job capturing the voice of Todd and, even more so, his dog, Manche.
The book is classified as Ages 15+ but I don't think I agree with that. I think mature younger readers would enjoy it just as much.
I am looking very forward to reading The Ask and the Answer.
